Make Some Crispy Jackfruit Chips From Kerala’s Kitchen

Welcome to Kerala's Kitchen, where we bring you the authentic flavors of South India. Today, we'll show you how to make crispy jackfruit chips!

First, select a ripe jackfruit and cut it into thin slices. Make sure to remove the seeds and the inner white layer.

Next, soak the slices in salt water for 10 minutes. This will help remove any excess sap and make the chips crispier.

After soaking, drain the water and pat the slices dry with a paper towel. Then, sprinkle some salt and turmeric powder on the slices.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the slices until they turn golden brown. Make sure to fry them in small batches for even cooking.

Once done, remove the chips from the oil and place them on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.

For an extra kick of flavor, you can sprinkle some red chili powder or chaat masala on the chips while they are still hot.

Let the chips cool down and then store them in an airtight container. They can last for up to a week, but we doubt they'll last that long!

Enjoy these crispy and flavorful jackfruit chips as a snack or as a side dish with your meals. They are a perfect blend of sweet and savory.
